School Charters: What Bus Do I Need?

Port Stephens Coaches specialises in the school charter market. Our large range of buses and seat belted vehicles allows us to supply the vehicle you need.

5-Star coaches are predominately used on longer excursions, day trips to Sydney, multiple day excursions - Canberra, Gold Coast, Bathurst. Our 5-star coaches have restrooms.

These vehicles are the most expensive to hire. Some schools match a 5-Star and a 4-Star coach together to meet their capacity needs.

Charter A Port Stephens Coach

Our 64 seat 5-Star coach offers 2 classes and staff the opportunity to travel together for an outing. Please note there is a premium for over sized vehicles and RTA restrictions on where they can go. For example the 64 coach can not access Jenolan Caves.

Our 4-Star coaches have been specially designed with the school market in mind. These feature seat belts, and video. These vehicles are also high capacity vehicles with 53, 57 and 65 seat configurations, which can mean the saving of a whole bus across a large number of students.

4-Star coaches are mostly used for excursions requiring seat belts such as Oakvale Farm, Fighter World, Reptile Park, Sydney day trips, and Canberra excursions. These vehicles are great for camp transfers as well.

Our school buses are used in the Newcastle area for school sports, intensive swimming, and short day excursions to say Blackbutt Reserve, Regional Museum, or Civic Theatre. We regularly move whole schools for cross country, swimming and athletics carnivals. Seat belted vehicles can be supplied for such jobs also. School buses are the cheapest buses to hire between 9.00am and 3.00pm.

We now have buses available in Newcastle for requirements before and after school.
